HTC One S Review - Dialaphone

bit.ly The latest Android mobile phone from HTC is the second in the One series, following on from the larger, quad-core One X. As well as the slim, sleek design there are plenty of features packed in such as cloud storage from Dropbox along with fast video streaming and audio playback optimised by the integrated Dr Dre Beats Audio technology. The One S runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich, in keeping with the One X and One V which make up the rest of the One Series of devices. Although the One S isn't as big as its larger cousin it still packs impressive specs including 4.3-inch 540x960 pixel resolution display with a Gorilla Glass screen. The 8MP camera is same as that featured on the One series flagship, ensuring the same high-quality camera phone functionality. HTC's new user interface, Sense 4.0 is present and the UI has had some of its features scaled back since earlier iterations to improve the performance of the handsets using it. Sense certainly looks good on the super A! MOLED screen and enables easy navigation, in spite of its new, less-flashy appearance. The onboard camera is capable of producing professional photos with HTC's new Image Sense technology lending a helping hand and providing countless shoot modes to improve the photos you take. Jimmy "Duck" Holmes (on guitar) and Terry "Harmonica" Bean at the Juke Joint Festival in Clarksdale, Mississippi - April 14, 2012. immy "Duck" Holmes is the proprietor of one of the oldest juke joints in Mississippi, the Blue Front in Bentonia. In the mid-2000s he began performing blues actively after many years of performing casually, and has already garnered several awards and many accolades. He is a practitioner and conscious advocate of a distinctive blues style from his hometown whose most famous proponent was blues pioneer Skip James. Holmes was born to sharecroppers Carey and Mary Holmes in 1947, the year before they opened the Blue Front Café. He was one of ten children and his parents also raised four children of Mary's deceased sister. The children all grew up partially at the Blue Front, which served hot meals, sold groceries, housed a barbershop, and sold bootleg corn liquor to both its African American customers and to whites who would buy it out of the café's! back door. With the money they earned from the café and harvesting cotton, the Holmes sent most of their children to college. During the segregation era the Blue Front was subject most of the time to a 10:00 pm curfew, but during the cotton harvest it stayed open 24 hours a day to accommodate workers processing cotton.
