Left blank for a memory Concept background: This album is inspired by Lacan's model of the Borromean Knot. It is separated into 3 chapters, which represent the real, the imaginary, and the symbolic orders of the knot. The Borromean knot is a topological conceptualisation in which each order is depicted as a circle that links each of the other orders. "It is formed from two separate links joined to each other by a third, and in such a way that if any one of the links is severed the whole thing falls apart" (Bowie). According to Lacan's quasi-dialectical conception of human being: "Everything that exists, has its being! in relation to that which lies outside it." Our attempt was to illustrate this theory, knotting the real, the imaginary, and the symbolic order through music. Enjoy!
